Ard Bit (Ard Janssen) is an Rotterdam-based electronic musician and sound designer.

His sound, coming from a IDM background has shifted to a more sensitive tactile layering that is both comfortable on the couch and on the dance floor. He creates audio sculptures which are fragile, layered and characterized by great detail.

After appearances on several compilers he debuted in 2009 with his album Spanon on Symbolic Interaction in Japan. In 2011 he released Table For Two on Shipwrec and in 2012 and 2014 respectively Yelleen and Ellioth on Lowriders Recordings.

He also composes music and designs sound for spatial environments, animations and advertisement.

He studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
