Ard Bit (Ard Janssen) is a Rotterdam-based composer.
After appearances on several compilers he debuted in 2009 with his album Spanon on Symbolic Interaction in Japan. In 2011 he released Table For Two on Shipwrec and in 2012 and 2014 respectively Yelleen and Ellioth on Lowriders Recordings.

His sound, coming from a IDM background has shifted to a more sensitive tactile layering that is both comfortable on the couch and on the dance floor. He creates morphing audio sculptures which are sensitive, fragile, layered, and is characterized by great detail.

He also composes music and designs sound as Walvisnest for various productions such as animations, museums, advertisement and documentaries.

He studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
